North Bay femme-punk trio Peach Pact won the outstanding music video award for “A.ajax” at the 2026 Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards, presented June 20 at Place des Arts in Sudbury.
North Bay’s Peach Pact’s video “A.ajax” was among the projects recognized at this year’s Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards in Sudbury, which honoured regional releases from 2024 and 2025.
Peach Pact was formed in 2018 with Holly Cunningham on drums and Linds Sullivan on guitar. Bassist and vocalist Vanessa Tignanelli rounds out the power trio. They released their first album, Die Hydrated, in June 2025, with help from a grant from the Ontario Arts Council. Animation for the video was done by Adrian Venti.
Cultural Industries Ontario North (CION) announced the winners for the awards (NOMFA) on June 20, during the NOMFA award ceremony at Place des Arts in Sudbury.
The three-day conference, which ran from June 18-20 reached new total attendance records, reflecting the growth of the music, film, and television industries in the north. The award ceremony was hosted this year by comedian, filmmaker, and 2-time NOMFA winner Ryan McMahon.
“Peach Pact is Northern Ontario’s juggernaut femme-punk trio. Not just another Riot Grrrl band, their lyrics are shaped by their lived experiences as women and queer artists, and explore themes of agency and exploitation. Like a banshee that discovered electricity, their debut album is a brash, unapologetic salvo of empowerment,” reads the bio on NOMFA’s website.
BayToday reached out to the band for comment, but did not hear back by deadline.
