Winnipeg police say a 30-year-old woman has been charged in connection with mischief, theft, and arson in the Linden Woods industrial area on May 31, 2026.
WPS responded to a report around 9:57 p.m. that a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado that was parked along Fennell Street had been damaged, entered, and property stolen from within.
Not long later, a nearby store along Seel Avenue reportedly caught fire, which resulted in around $1,750,000 in damages to the building, plus $500,000 in damages to the contents within.
Police say around 11:31 a.m. on June 21, police took 30-year-old Keishya Marie Fontaine into custody on an unrelated matter, before allegedly connecting her to the incident.
Fontaine has since been charged with arson causing property damage, mischief under $5,000, and theft under $5,000.
