Dead body found in tent near Jacques-Cartier Bridge

A 36-year-old person was found dead early Thursday at the foot of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Montreal police reported.

Montreal police Constable Manuel Couture said the person was found in a tent at De Lorimier Ave. at Logan St. about 8 a.m. Emergency responders declared the person dead on the scene.

Investigators are treating the death as suspicious for the moment considering the circumstances surrounding the discovery of their body. Couture did not specify whether the person was a man or a woman.
