Five years after a man was stabbed to death at 93 Street and 105 Avenue, murder charges have been laid, say Edmonton police.
On Friday, city police announced charges have been laid charges in relation to the 2021 homicide case of Allan Freed, 55.
Around noon on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Downtown branch officers responded to the report of a deceased male. An autopsy showed cause of death was blood loss as a result of stab wounds and the manner of death was homicide.
Following a “complex and lengthy investigation,” the homicide section charged two people, police said in the Friday news release.
Daniel John Sunday, 44, and Ashley Dawn Dion, 33, are facing second-degree murder charges.
Both accused have been remanded.
