Young people in Castlegar will soon have an opportunity to try golf at no cost as First Tee – British Columbia brings its mobile clinic program to Castlegar Golf Club on July 31 and Aug. 1.

First Tee – British Columbia, Golf Canada’s youth development program, delivers accessible and inclusive golf programming designed to help children build confidence, resilience and life skills through the sport.

In partnership with Castlegar Golf Club, the program will offer two days of introductory clinics for youth aged 7 to 18. The no-cost 90-minute sessions will introduce participants to key golf fundamentals, including putting, chipping and full-swing activities, while emphasizing values such as perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.

No previous golf experience or equipment is required.

First Tee – British Columbia works with golf courses, schools and community organizations across the province to help remove financial, social and cultural barriers to golf participation and create more opportunities for young people to experience the game.

Registration is now open.
