The City of Prince George is inviting the community to Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park for Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday.
The event will kick off with the Prince George Community Band, followed by opening ceremonies at noon with Lheidli T’enneh First Nation Elder Darlene McIntosh and Chief Dolleen Logan, continuing with more entertainment.
The City said this year’s layout will have improvements based on feedback, with the food pavilion now located along the Heritage River Trail and the kids zone adjacent to the playground.
They’re encouraging residents to use the free accessible shuttle to the park between the Civic Centre parking lot and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and Taylor Drive between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Downtown Prince George is also offering a free bike valet for event attendees, which can be checked-in behind the bandshell.
The Canada Day celebrations will begin at 11:00 a.m., ending at 6:00 p.m.
