Several people were injured in two different motorcycle crashes Saturday evening, Calgary police say.
The first happened in the northeast at the end of Skyview Shores Manor before 6:30 p.m. and involved an SUV.
Officers say the driver of the motorcycle was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, along with the passenger of the SUV, for precautionary reasons.
The second incident happened hours later at the 3700 block of Barlow Trail and involved two motorcycles and an SUV.
Police give a similar account: the motorcycle drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries, and two passengers in the SUV were also taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.
Barlow Trail between 32 Avenue and 39 Avenue were closed at the time while police investigated.
Police provided no further information.
