NO FLAG FOR ME ON CANADA DAY
Article content
I won’t be feeling particularly warm and fuzzy this Canada Day. I used to display a big Canadian flag outside my house, but have absolutely no desire to do so anymore.

I think the Liberal government has caused so much damage and division that I have lost what Canada meant to me before. The Liberals are doing everything in their power to ensure Canada continues its decline.
Anyone can criticize me if they want. I don’t care. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

CANADA FAR FROM BILINGUAL
Re: Our kingdom for a French dictionary? Editorial, June 27
Canada is not a bilingual country (as the above editorial stated).
If we were, schools in all provinces would teach both English and French. Canada is a country with two official languages. Your choice.
New Brunswick is the only bilingual province. Quebec is the only unilingual province.
If only, back in the day when then-PM Pierre Trudeau introduced Canada’s two official
languages, every provincial school board had decided to include both languages in their curriculum, most Canadians today would be bilingual.

What a shame that school boards in Canada didn’t have the foresight then to be world
leaders.

SENS PLAYED IT SMART
You never want to keep a player who no longer wants to play for your team. It was smart of the Ottawa Senators to trade Brady Tkachuk quickly while his value was at its highest.
We have already traded for a very good player from the Sharks who could easily replace the numbers Brady put up. And we still had the draft picks. I’m looking forward to the coming season.
