“I mean, they say success breeds success, right?” Johnson tells BoxingScene about being in Camp BoMac. “We train hard over here, man. We trying to win.”
Of working with Crawford, he added: “He’s a top five boxer of all time now, so he’s definitely one of the greatest I’ve been in the ring with. I think we did like four to six rounds. I only got a chance to share the ring with him once, you know, but it was some of the best work, some of the best experience I could have gotten. Everything that I already knew about him, I already expected it. He’s real strong. He’s physically strong. He got punching power and he’s real smart. I feel like he’s real competitive, and he has this will to win, if that makes sense. He showed me a lot in that sparring.”
