OCONOMOWOC — Scarlett Shreve, who recently completed her junior year at Oconomowoc High School, won the Youth MMA National Championship on June 20 through the Global Association for Mixed Martial Arts.
The tournament was held in Simpsonville, S.C., and qualifies her to be on the Junior National Team for both United World Wrestling and Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts for its world championships.
United World Wrestling is the governing body For Olympic wrestling.
Shreve was invited last year to compete in the UWW Youth MMA World Championship, earning a bronze medal. She is also a competitive wrestler for Oconomowoc High School, spending some time in the rankings during the 2025-26 season, winning the Classic 8 Conference Championship in her weight class and placing second in her sectional.
Shreve is the first female WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament qualifier in Oconomowoc history, competing her sophomore year. She trains through Roufusport in Milwaukee and Askren Wrestling Academy.
