The following city facilities and services will be closed for Canada Day in Sault Ste. Marie:

There will be no garbage, leaf, and yard waste or recycling pickup on Wednesday. Collection will be one day late for the remainder of the week.
There will be no regular transit service on Canada Day and only Parabus service will operate.
Both marinas are open on Canada Day and will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The John Rhodes pool is open for holiday hours with parent and child/lane swim from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Public swim is from 1:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Peter G. Manzo and the V.E. Greco pools are open daily from 1 to 7 p.m., weather permitting, while the Bellevue Park Splash Pad and the Manzo Splash Pad are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
There will be no programming on July 1 at the Bay Street Active Living Centre or at the Northern Community Centre.
The Bay Street Active Living Centre will be closed from June 29 to July 3 for renovations and, during this closure, some programs will be relocated to the Northern Community Centre with the exception of July 1.
Canada Day events are planned at the Roberta Bondar Park Tent Pavilion.
Opening ceremonies begin at 2 p.m., followed by entertainment and attractions throughout the day. A fireworks display will begin at dusk.
Poutine Feast is in the Downtown Plaza July 1 to 5 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
