Tyson Fury returns in Thailand against veteran Mariusz Wach
While the boxing world continues to wonder about a potential showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, the “Gypsy King” has already lined up a fight.
Fury will face veteran Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach on July 24 in Pattaya, Thailand. The bout will mark Fury’s second appearance of 2026 following his decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.
Although Wach enters the fight at 46 years old and with a lengthy professional career, he remains a durable opponent known for his toughness. The Polish veteran challenged Wladimir Klitschko for a world title in 2012 and has shared the ring with several elite heavyweights over more than two decades as a professional.
Fury has stated that the event will also have a charitable component, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local organizations in Thailand. In addition, the British star will receive a special humanitarian recognition from the WBC during the event.
Beyond the speculation surrounding future fights, Fury’s immediate focus is on defeating Wach and staying active during a period of significant movement in the heavyweight division.
