In the morning on Monday, a man walked into a financial institution in the 3200 block of Portage Avenue and passed a note to staff, saying that he was armed and listing his demands.
After receiving property from staff, the suspect fled in a taxi.
Police determined that the suspect was driven to the 1900 block of Portage Avenue and took him into custody without incident.
71-year-old Dale Robert Marsh is now facing charges, including armed robbery and possession of fentanyl.
He was detained.
