One of the busiest and biggest weekends of the year for fighting games wrapped up a few days ago at Evo 2026, but there’s still plenty more going on in the scene this week.
Capcom is about to release a new update for Street Fighter 6, which of course means the servers are going to be down for a time.
The company is scheduled to perform server maintenance on Street Fighter 6 tonight, July 1, from 8 p.m. PT through 12 a.m. PT.
During this time, all online features will remain unavailable including matchmaking, the Battle Hub, in-game store, leaderboards and more.
While they haven’t said exactly what is going to be included in this update, we can take some educated guesses.
The newly-announced Yasmine Arrives Fighting Pass is presumably being added to SF6 later tonight after the maintenance, so there will at least be some new content to pick up.
Said pass features premium rewards in the way of new costume colors for Chun-Li and Juri as well as a number of items themed around Season 4’s first newcomer, Summer antics and more.
That may be pretty much it in terms of the big stuff heading to Street Fighter now since the game’s next important update is arriving next month.
Yasmine is scheduled to release on August 3, and she won’t be coming alone.
Capcom will also be launching Street Fighter 6’s roster-wide Season 4 patch at the same time, so we probably won’t see anything in terms of balance adjustments here besides maybe some bug fixes.
They haven’t announced any new costumes either, so we’ll have to wait and see when the next batch of outfits will be coming.
As for other fighting games getting updates this week, The King of Fighters 15 is receiving a new balance patch while Guilty Gear Strive is adding Robo-Ky and more content to the game as well as Kenshiro launching in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves a few days ago.
Stay tuned for the exact contents of this update when Capcom releases the official patch notes for Street Fighter 6’s July update shortly.
[Notice] #StreetFighter 6 server maintenance will take place at the time below and is expected to last around 4 hours.
