We are officially halfway through the year. While many will be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary this weekend, Callaway is reminding golfers that one major championship still remains on the calendar. Rounding out the 2026 Chrome Tour Major Series, Callaway has unveiled the new Chrome Tour July Major golf balls.

This year’s Open Championship will be played at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, Merseyside, England. Widely recognized as one of the toughest venues in The Open rotation, Royal Birkdale is famous for fairways that weave through towering sand dunes and demand precision from the world’s best players.

If you’re a golf fan, chances are you remember a couple of unforgettable moments from the 2017 Open Championship. The first was eventual champion Jordan Spieth hitting a tee shot so far off line it took nearly 20 minutes before he ultimately declared an unplayable lie. Even more memorable, though, was the incredible 50-foot eagle putt he holed before famously telling his caddie, “Go get that.”

Chrome Tour July Major Designs

Chrome Tour July Major Golf ball box

This time around, the packaging takes on a more refined look rather than the bold, playful themes seen in some previous releases. The image of the golf hole has the appearance of a classic painting, making the box feel more like a piece of artwork than simple golf ball packaging. Once again, it’s the type of presentation that should stand out on store shelves and may even appeal to collectors.

Like the April, May and June Major Series releases, the July Major golf balls feature artwork inspired by the host region and local culture. The golf balls themselves feature four unique designs: a bird, rose, fish & chips and a crown, all things inspired by the region.

Each golf ball features Callaway’s Tour Fast Mantle, Advanced Seamless Aero package and Tour-level urethane cover, delivering the same premium performance golfers expect from the Chrome Tour while adding limited-edition graphics that are sure to stand out on the course.
