She wants to see drivers slow down and the city to work on solutions. “I think there needs to be more lights put around in these residential streets, because they do get really dark at night,” Hickman said. The intersection is a golf cart crossing. The traffic crash report lists the driver of the golf cart as at fault for allegedly failing to yield, police said.”We are not aware of any recent concerns about speeding in the downtown area of Sanford, but we continue to encourage all drivers to maintain a safe speed while operating their vehicles,” the statement reads.
