Winnipeg police say a youth is in hospital after being hit by a train on Friday.
WPS says around 8:45 p.m. on July 3, officers responded to a report that a youth had been injured by a moving train on the tracks along Winnipeg Avenue West near Valour Road.
WFPS took the youth to hospital in unstable condition, and has since been upgraded to stable.
Police have issued the following warning: “The public is reminded to exercise extreme caution when in and around active rail lines. Never attempt to climb on rail equipment or approach a moving train under any circumstances. More rail safety information is available here.”
