A woman in her 30s is dead after being struck by a vehicle in an early morning hit-and-run in Mississauga.
Peel regional police say officers responded at about 6 a.m. to the area of Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway.
Police say the woman was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have described the suspect vehicle as a light-coloured sedan that fled eastbound on Eglinton Avenue from Erin Mills Parkway.
As a result of the collision, police say the intersection remains closed and drivers are asked to use alternate routes.
