One person was critically injured in a Brampton shooting on Sunday.

Peel Regional Police said officers were called at about 3:40 p.m. for a shooting in the Earlsbridge Blvd.-Edenbrook Hill Dr. area.

Peel paramedics said they transported one patient to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said that two suspects who were dressed in black clothing fled on foot. There were no additional suspect descriptions.

Boy struck while riding bike in Etobicoke

A boy was sent to hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Etobicoke on Sunday afternoon.

Toronto Police said the young cyclist was riding his bike in the Islington Ave.-Bloor St. W. area at about 3 p.m. when the collision happened.

He sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Cops said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Hwy. 11 just north of Barrie was closed for several hours on Sunday afternoon following a crash involving a school bus loaded with kids headed to summer camp.

Ontario Provincial Police said the bus, which was carrying children and adult passengers, collided with an SUV at about 1:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 11 near Line 3 South in Oro-Medonte.

Police said there were a few minor injuries and that no one was hospitalized.

“Drivers were charged accordingly,” police added.

1 seriously hurt in Halton crash

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a minivan crash in Burlington on Sunday afternoon.

Halton Regional Police said they responded at 12:40 p.m. to a serious single-vehicle crash on North Service Rd. east of Brant St.

Police said one of the occupants of the white minivan was later transported to an out-of-region trauma centre.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
