Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, collected around Rs. 13 crore on its first Sunday, closing its opening weekend in India at Rs. 33.50 crore nett (Rs. 39.50 crore gross), as per early estimates. The spy action drama, directed by Shiv Rawail, grossed over USD 1.7 million, which is Rs. 16 crore, from overseas in its first three days of theatrical run.

This took its first weekend to Rs. 55 crore gross or so at the worldwide box office. This is not enough for the Alia Bhatt film to sail through, but considering the circumstances in which the film has been released, this is actually a respectable, in fact, a positive start.

All eyes are now on its Monday hold. If it manages to hold well on weekdays, it might have a chance to reach a respectable figure. Since the production cost of Alpha is on the higher side and the word-of-mouth is not in its favor, the spy action drama is heading to emerge as a disappointment affair for YRF. Let’s see how far the film can go from here on.

The Box Office Collections for Alpha are as follows:

Day
Gross

India
Rs. 39.50 cr.

Overseas
Rs. 16.00 cr.
(USD 1.7 M)

Total
