Winnipeg’s Indeego set to rock the Encore stage

“It’s taken a lot of strife and struggle to get us out to the Kootenays,” says Calab Chrisanti, guitarist-ringleader of Indeego – the hardest-working metallic rock band ever to emerge from the Queen City of Winnipeg.
“We’ve been a working presence since 2003, and in the early days we shared stages with Noize Therapy, Robin Black, Jar, Wide Mouth Mason, and many other notable acts…and I’m here to say that we held our own. We wrote and recorded a lot of material over the years, but we never officially got anything across the finish line, so to speak. We were active, but we were young within the city scene. We released our debut album in 2015, and spent the rest of that decade building up a head of steam…and then the pandemic killed it dead! But here we are! This is the first time we’ve toured out of Winnipeg this far with this Indeego lineup, and depending on how well it goes, we’ll see about more expansive Canadian touring in 2027.”
Indeego lights up the stage at Encore Brewing Co. on Saturday July 11, with local opening support from Brotherhood of Lost Souls.
Indeego’s current live repertoire draws from their main full-length album Hellevator Music, as well as songs from their side-related outfit Distodius.
Their infectious current single “Puzzle” continues to make waves online, and their combination of magnetic stage presence (thanks in no small part to their captivating lead vocalist Sandra) and catchy guitar-driven power-rock is sure to be a rising winner in the ongoing whirlwind of Canadian Music.
“We’re doing all this because we’re having fun,” says Chrisanti. “This new cast of Indeego characters is amazing! Everybody’s laughing and enjoying each other, which wasn’t the case in the past. And we’re sure looking forward to enjoying Cranbrook!”
