The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a blockbuster trade this offseason, sending Jared Verse, a 2027 first, 2028 second, and 2028 third-rounder to the Cleveland Browns for Myles Garrett.
He just won Defensive Player of the Year with a record-breaking 23 sacks, and is clearly one of the best defensive players in the league right now.
In fact, according to a poll from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Garrett received a unanimous No. 1 ranking from NFL scouts, coaches, and executives as the best edge rusher in the NFL right now.

“1. Myles Garrett, Los Angeles Rams. Highest Ranking: 1 | Lowest ranking: 1,” Fowler shared. “It’s a clean sweep for Garrett, who was No. 1 on every ballot. That’s rare for this exercise, which usually features at least one detractor.”
While it wouldn’t be a surprise for the Rams’ edge rusher to land at No. 1 on the NFL’s edge rusher ranking, to be unanimous among all scouts, executives, and coaches is a testament to how incredible he is.
Garrett put up 23 sacks last season and 33 tackles for loss, winning his second Defensive Player of the Year award. The 30-year-old edge rusher is likely the best defender in the NFL, and easily the best edge rusher.

In his nine-year NFL career so far, Garrett has 125.5 sacks, and he’s likely to play for a while longer and climb the all-time leaderboard.
The seven-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro, and multi-time Defensive Player of the Year is more than deserving of all the praise levied his way through this unanimous ranking.
Rams fans are lucky to have Garrett, and now with a chance to play with a lead, he could be in store for another huge season. He might even have a chance to break his 23-sack record, which he just set this past season.
