A rise in coyote activity is prompting officials to temporarily close a trail at Heber Down Conservation Area in Whitby.
The Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) announced on Facebook the Railway Trail is closed for now.
They’re encouraging you to enjoy the other trails in the area and follow coyote safety tips.
It comes after a two-year-old child was bitten on the face by one of the animals at Vanier Park in Whitby on Sunday night.
