The company’s phone number has been disconnected and social media accounts taken down.

A North Shore favourite will no longer be a-round.

Mount Royal Bagel Factory appears to have suddenly closed.

A note on the front door of the business, at 701 Queensbury Ave. in North Vancouver, reads: “Unfortunately closed for the foreseeable future.”

It continues with a fond note for former patrons.

“Thank you to our very loyal customers. You’ll be missed.”

As of Wednesday, the business’s phone number was disconnected. Social media accounts have been taken down and the bagel shop’s email address isn’t working.

Mount Royal’s website was still up as this article was published, showing multiple products for sale. Some of those products have appeared on shelves at local grocery stores.

The business couldn’t be reached for comment on the closure.

Mount Royal first opened in North Vancouver in 1999.

The shop was widely known for producing some of the best damn bagels on the North Shore.
