Some love all the luxury options the new mall brings, while others lament the unaffordable prices.
Oakridge Park made its highly anticipated debut on May 28, opening with roughly 85 per cent of its stores up and running.
Reviews of the mall are split: some shoppers welcome the fresh take on a food hall that Time Out Market brings, while others are disappointed that most of the shops sit well outside the average person’s price range.
If Chanel and Louis Vuitton aren’t your daily budget, the good news is that a Safeway grocery store is opening soon, and there are Aritzia, Sephora, Browns Shoes, Lululemon, and Sporting Life to keep things grounded (at least in Vancouver terms).
At the food hall area, most places didn’t have a lineup, except for Mello doughnuts, which had quite the queue.
I paid $31 including tax and tips for a Bolognese at Pasta E Basta by Ask for Luigi. The dish was made fresh and took about 20 minutes.
It was delicious, but was it $31-for-noodles good? You decide.

Our resident foodie @Vancityjessie checked out the fancy food court, and paid $31 for a dish from Pasta E Basta by Ask for Luigi.
