A 29-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with lower-body injuries following a three-vehicle collision in Montreal’s Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough Friday evening.
Montreal police officers responded around 8:20 p.m. to the intersection of Acadie Blvd. and St-Roch St. after receiving several 911 calls reporting a crash.
According to preliminary information, a vehicle travelling south on Acadie Blvd. was making a left turn onto St-Roch St. when it collided with a motorcycle travelling northbound on Acadie. The vehicle then struck a second car, police said.
The motorcyclist was transported to hospital conscious with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Montreal police told The Gazette on Saturday.
The drivers of the two vehicles, men aged 69 and 29, were not injured.
Police established a security perimeter Friday night to allow investigators to examine the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
