An 83-year-old man suffered serious injuries after crashing his car near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Montreal early Sunday.
Sûreté du Québec police officers were alerted to the incident around 3 a.m., spokesperson Élizabeth Marquis said.
Police believe the man swerved off the road and hit a tree.
He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not in danger.
Police have not determined the cause of the crash, Marquis said, adding that alcohol was not a factor.
An investigation is ongoing.
