Police are investigating a “serious overnight collision” that involved a TransLink bus and a pedestrian in Surrey.

Around 9:41pm last night, officers responded to a report from BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) about a seriously injured pedestrian “lying on the roadway” at the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue.

“Officers arrived and located the pedestrian who was receiving emergency medical treatment from BCEHS paramedics,” reads a release from the department.

The pedestrian, an adult man, was taken to hospital with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Both the TransLink bus and driver were located at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing and the cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.
