There will be only two games on tonight’s short slate, beginning with the Sparks visiting the Dream at 7 PM EST. The Mercury will visit the Lynx next at 9 PM.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Nneka Ogwumike More Than 16.5 Points
Ogwumike enters Monday averaging 16.9 PPG, placing this number almost exactly at her established scoring level. She has remained one of the Sparks’ most reliable offensive options, scoring 24 points against Indiana before finishing with 14 against Seattle. Atlanta has been one of the league’s stronger defensive teams, so this could potentially get rocky, but Ogwumike’s versatility gives her several paths to production. She can score through post touches, cuts, offensive rebounds, and midrange opportunities without needing the offense to stop around her. Los Angeles has also won consecutive games while leaning heavily on its veteran frontcourt, and Ogwumike should again receive enough minutes and touches to reach the high teens.

Kayla McBride More Than 16.5 Points
McBride is coming off a big 25-point performance against New York, including 14 points in the fourth quarter, and she has taken on a larger scoring burden with Napheesa Collier still sidelined. Collier has returned to practice activities following offseason ankle surgeries, but she has yet to return to Minnesota’s lineup. McBride has now scored 18, 28, and 25 points across three of her last four games, repeatedly clearing this number as one of the Lynx’s primary perimeter options. Her movement shooting is especially important against Phoenix because Minnesota can use Olivia Miles and Courtney Williams to initiate offense while McBride works away from the ball. Phoenix has enough scoring to keep the game competitive, which should preserve McBride’s minutes and shot volume deep into the second half.

Dearica Hamby More Than 8.5 Rebounds
Hamby averages 7.7 RPG, so we need an extra bit of juice tonight, but her consistent frontcourt role gives her a realistic chance to do so. She has played at least 30 minutes in each of Los Angeles’ last two games, scoring 21 against Indiana and 17 against Chicago while remaining heavily involved around the basket.
Atlanta’s athletic frontcourt makes this a competitive rebounding matchup, but Hamby’s ability to defend multiple positions can keep her on the floor for extended stretches while often around the rim to collect easy boards. She also runs the floor well enough to stay near the play rather than being removed from good rebounding spots.
