An elderly woman has life-altering injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Calgary’s Manchester Industrial area on Saturday night.
Police say the collision happened around 7:50 p.m. at 58 Avenue and 2 Street SW.
A woman in her 70s was crossing 58 Avenue when a 2012 Toyota Corolla that was travelling hit her, according to investigators.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-altering injuries. The driver involved stayed at the scene.
Investigators say drugs, alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors.
