The Strathcona Blocks party is back.

Strathcona’s street party is returning this year.

The Strathcona Blocks Party is back for its fifth year. It’ll be taking over a few blocks on East Hastings, from the 600 to 900 block, on Saturday, July 25. Activities will be focused at 840 E Hastings St. (which is normally a parking lot).

“Visitors can enjoy a full lineup of entertainment, including live music and dance performances on the main stage, food trucks such as Japadog, Nami Vietnamese and Reel Mac & Cheese, and free family-friendly activities including face painting, balloon art and sidewalk chalk,” reads a release about the event.

There’s also a beer garden for adults. Along with the beer, it’ll include barbecue bites and “throwback games,” including a giant Twister.

Local businesses will be participating in different ways, including Gallery 881 and Prototype Coffee. Those who collect stickers at the different businesses can get a free ice cream.

The festival stage will feature live music until 5 p.m., when headliner The Pinebarren Band wraps up their set.
