Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) crews remain on the scene in southwest Calgary after a freight train derailed Monday morning, partially submerging multiple railcars in a nearby pond.
In an email statement, CPKC confirmed that crews repositioned the involved railcars overnight. Track repairs and safety inspections were completed, and the corridor was reopened on Tuesday morning.
The affected railcars will be unloaded and ultimately removed from the site this week.
