Former Michigan State player Frankie Fidler scored 16 points in an NBA Summer League game.Fidler also recorded five rebounds during the matchup against the Denver Nuggets.He previously played one season for the Spartans, averaging 7 points per game.Fidler is hoping his Summer League performance leads to an NBA G League opportunity.
A former Spartan had another impressive showing in NBA Summer League action on Thursday.
Former Michigan State men’s basketball player Frankie Fidler put up some big numbers in an NBA Summer League matchup on Thursday. He finished the game with 16 points on 6 of 14 shooting from the field and grabbed five rebounds against the Denver Nuggets. This strong performance from Fidler comes after he scored 13 points in another NBA Summer League matchup last week.
Fidler played one season with the Spartans in 2024-25 after transferring from Omaha. In his lone season with the Spartans, Fidler averaged 7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in a primary key reserve role off the bench.
Fidler, who was named the MVP of the month for November in the Latvian league, helped lead Rigas Zelli to a Latvian Cup semifinal. He has played well so far through NBA Summer League action and hopefully he can finish strong to play his way back into consideration for the NBA G League this upcoming year.
