Meleek Thomas scored a game-high 24 points, and the Cavaliers beat the Bulls, 100-91, on July 17 in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Thomas, a second-round draft pick at No. 34 overall from Arkansas, made 10 of 20 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers. He also had two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Thomas played in four of the Cavaliers’ five games in Las Vegas and scored at least 20 points in all of them. He had a high of 35 against the Heat on July 13.
Malaki Branham, from Ohio State and Akron SVSM, followed with 13 points and a team-high five assists. Riley Minix and Tre’Von Spillers scored 12 points each, and Xaivian Lee added 10.
Spillers and Rashaun Agee each grabbed nine rebounds.
Cleveland finished the summer league at 3-2.
