City of Delta hosting World Cup soccer finals street party

Celebration starts at 10 a.m. on July 19

The World Cup comes to a conclusion with the championship game at noon on Sunday, July 19.

To mark the occasion, the City of Delta, which has hosted Soccer Fan zones in Ladner Village as well as at the North Delta Rec Centre, is hosting a Soccer Finals Street Park on Chisholm Street in Ladner Village.

The free, family-friendly celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can watch the championship game on one of two big screens while enjoying live music, food trucks, street games, community booths and loads of entertainment during the day.

Enjoy a free pancake breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon brought to you by the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club.

Activities will then be held at the Activity Zone inside the Soccer Fan Zone as well as the Ladner Village Pop-Up Park.
