A former Taiwan-based bakery chain closed its unit in mid-June.
A new Vietnamese restaurant is replacing a global bakery chain cafe inside a Richmond mall.
A sign for Pho Net Viet, serving “authentic Vietnamese cuisine,” has been posted on the windows of former Hazukido Cafe+ at Aberdeen Centre.
Hazukido Cafe+ officially closed on June 14, but prior to its closure, social media posts were seen selling the business for $199,000 around March.
Hazukido, a French-Japanese-style croissant bakery chain, opened its first Vancouver location in Yaletown in 2022, which specialized in Japanese-inspired croissants.
In 2024, the Taiwan-based bakery opened Hazukido Cafe Plus in Aberdeen Centre serving not only their sweet and savoury croissants, but also afternoon tea and lunch sets.
During the same year, the Yaletown location of the bakery closed.
No opening date has yet been set for the opening of Pho Net Viet.
