It was a weekend of high drama in the high mountains for the Enduro World Cup. Lief Rodgers rode into the EDR overall lead, following the disqualification of series leader Alex Rudeau on a stage.
Canada’s world champion, Elly Hoskin, rode her way through the wild rocks of Aletsch Arena-Bellwald and back onto the podium, finishing second by the end of Sunday’s racing.

Elite Men: Rodgers rides second into EDR overall lead
Squamish, B.C.’s Lief Rodgers (Priority Racing Team) extended his stunning run of consistency this season, adding another podium in Switzerland. With second place at Aletsch Arena, and with the disqualification of Alex Rudeau from the Swiss round, Rodgers moves into first overall in the 2026 Enduro World Cup.
Lief Rodgers’ gamble on a new team is paying off in spades
Rudeau was one of many rider suffering major mechanicals in the brutal Swiss rocks. After a rear wheel was unrepairable, he was unable to continue and after receiving outside help, was ruled out of the race. That opened the door for Rodgers. The Canadian takes the lead overall, but Ryan Gilchrist (Yeti Fox) takes the win in Switzerland.

Elite Women: Hoskin back on an EDR podium
The women’s race was nearly as dramatic as the mens. While no one was disqualified, late race flat tires for Ella Connolly and Canada’s Elly Hoskin kept fans and racers on their toes to see who would make it to the finish line with bike and body intact.
“It’s been a pretty eventful weekend. We’ve had a huge amount of racing, almost 50 minutes in total. I had a small mechanical issue to deal with after one of the stages, but the hardest thing was simply keeping the pace up for that long. The body is exhausted. I was really struggling in the final stages; there was so much pedalling and my legs were spent. My lower back was hurting through all the corners as well, so in the end I was just trying to hold it together and make it to the finish line.”
Connolly takes the win in Aletsch, and back-to-back EDR wins. Hoskin places second with Nadine Ellecosta (Abetone Vittoria Nencini Sport Factory Team) rounding out the podium in third.
