Fire damaged two homes on Flannery Drive near Mooney’s Bay early Tuesday morning, according to Ottawa Fire Services.
Firefighters were called to a house fire around 4:20 a.m., and when they arrived saw that it had spread to the roof of a neighbouring home.
They called for backup and had to withdraw from the first house when it partially collapsed about 20 minutes later.
The fire was eventually brought under control around 5:10 a.m., firefighters said. The provincial fire marshal’s office is involved in the investigation.
Ottawa paramedics said they checked one person at the scene for minor injuries.
