Adult flag football tourney set for South Surrey this weekend

Looking for something fun to do this weekend in South Surrey?
Head to South Surrey Athletic Park (14600 20 Avenue) to enjoy the third annual Pacific International Adult Flag Football Tournament Friday and enjoy some fierce flag competition.
With 55 teams from across the province coming to compete, games are set for Friday night (July 24), all day Saturday (July 25) starting at 9:30 a.m., and all day Sunday (July 26), starting at 8:30 a.m.
With food trucks, DJs, and local government representatives on hand to kick off the weekend games, it promises family–friendly fun for all ages — especially with a water spray park and playground nearby.

In other football news, White Rock South Surrey Titans Minot Football — which celebrates its 40th anniversary in the community this year — is starting up an in-house U10 5v5 flag football league.
Designed for beginners and players looking to start or continue with flag before deciding if tackle at U12 is something they want to do, the new league is another way for young athletes to get involved in football.
A community-based, non-profit youth football program, the WRSS Titans have players ranging in age from five years old to 18 years old and have a full cheerleading program as well.
