DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR’s history, culture and connection to America will take center stage next month in a new documentary series premiering on USA Network.

“NASCAR AMERICANA,” a three-part limited docuseries executive produced by Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, will debut Aug. 9 following the NASCAR Cup Series Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway.

Created in conjunction with America’s 250th anniversary celebration, the series examines NASCAR’s evolution from its roots in the rural South into one of the nation’s most recognizable sports.

The project is produced by FULL SPEED ENTERTAINMENT, a partnership between NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures, the company behind acclaimed documentaries including The Last Dance and the Academy Award-winning OJ: Made in America.

The opening episode, “Rebel Roots,” explores NASCAR’s beginnings among moonshiners and bootleggers while tracing the sport’s rise through the creation of the Daytona 500 and the landmark 1979 Daytona 500 that helped propel stock-car racing into the national spotlight. The episode follows Ryan Blaney as he prepares for the 2026 Daytona 500.

Part two, “Family Bonds,” will spotlight the relationships that have shaped the sport across generations. The episode is expected to draw significant attention for featuring the first formal sit-down interview with NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch since the death of his younger brother, Kyle Busch, in May. The program follows the NASCAR community as it honors Kyle Busch during the 2026 Coca-Cola 600.

The final installment, “Enduring Spirit,” examines NASCAR’s transformation into a national institution while highlighting traditions and patriotic themes that remain central to the sport. The episode follows Daytona 500 winner Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace during the 2026 Anduril 250, NASCAR’s first race held at a U.S. Naval Base.

In addition to current stars, the series includes appearances from NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon, country music star and NASCAR team co-owner Darius Rucker, actor and race car driver Frankie Muniz and Manning.

“NASCAR AMERICANA” will air across three weekends in August, immediately following USA Network’s NASCAR race broadcasts from Iowa Speedway, Richmond Raceway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
