Two Lindenwood women’s soccer players have garnered OVC Player of the Week recognition after helping the Lions to a pair of wins last week. Jessica Dodd was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week, while Caroline Ritter was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week.
Dodd anchored the Lindenwood backline last week, playing all 180 minutes and contributing to a shutout performance against Murray State on Sunday. It is her first OVC Player of the Week honor.
Meanwhile, Ritter collected 11 total saves and recorded a shutout against Murray State. The sophomore posted five saves in the Lions’ 2-1 win against Illinois State before recording six saves to help secure a 1-0 victory over Murray State. It is the second time Ritter has been named OVC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Lindenwood hosts a pair of home matches this week, first against Evansville on Thursday at 6 p.m. before welcoming Omaha to Hunter Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
