Community turns out for annual Converse County Hospital Foundation benefit golf scramble, raises nearly $14,000

Before the scorching sun had a chance to heat things up last Saturday, dozens of participants from both inside and outside of Douglas and Glenrock brought the heat shortly after sunrise for the Converse County Hospital Foundation. More than two dozen converged for a good cause and huge success at the annual Golf for Healthcare July 18 at Douglas Community Golf Course.

From hole #1 to hole #18 golf balls of all colors were flying, most hitting the fairways and greens while some danced between tree branches and ricochetted off of vehicles in the parking lot. But that’s ok because everyone was a winner just by being part of this important benefit which all that mattered was the support for the foundation.
