A water main broke in the southeast community of Willow Park early Thursday morning, partially flooding a section of southbound Macleod Trail.

City crews responded to the break at 100 Anderson Road S.E., across from Southcentre Mall, at approximately 12:30 a.m.

A section of the road has been closed between 109 Avenue and Anderson Road S.E. while crews use acoustic equipment to find leaks and determine the severity of the break.

Crews are also working to mark other underground utilities before excavation work to repair the break can begin.

One home has been affected by the service disruption, according to the city’s website.

Officials said the road remains closed until further notice.
