Toronto’s Sobeys Stadium is returning next month for a new year of programming, which will include concerts, music festivals and live-to-film and video game performances running into the fall.
Howard Jones will be starting the season off strong, joined by Wang Chung, the English Beat and Modern English on August 23 for a headlining show.
August will also welcome Filipino girl group BINI on August 27, as well as the two-day R&B music festival First Class Fest from August 28–29, and a symphonic tribute to the indie video game Undertale, performed live by a 25-piece orchestra, on August 30.
BC’s Mother Mother will hit the stage on September 11, which will be followed by Toronto’s newest South Asian music festival 6ix Mela a day later (September 12), Disney’s The Lion King live in concert on September 13, Heroes: A Video Game Symphony on September 17, and Disney and Pixar’s UP live in concert on September 27.
Lastly, Interpol (pictured above) will play the Bowl on October 2, with support from DIIV.
