The July 18 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro was dominated by Front Row Motorsports driver Chandler Smith, who led 105 laps and won by over eight seconds. His FRM teammate, Layne Riggs, finished second.
And it wouldn’t be surprising at all if there was another Front Row 1-2 at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday.
Riggs is the defending winner at IRP, as he led 160 of 200 laps and swept the stages at the track in 2025. Smith finished top five in both stages and sixth at the checkered flag.
FRM has flexed muscle on short tracks
The Front Row teammates have been quick at every other short track race this season. Smith finished runner-up at Bristol, while Riggs finished top 10 in both stages. Riggs also finished third at Rockingham and was top five in both stages.
Front Row has had speed everywhere on the Truck Series circuit this year, but it’s been especially prevalent on the short tracks. With Richmond, New Hampshire, Bristol and Martinsville making up four of 10 remaining races this season, the team’s knack for running well on short tracks will come in handy.
Friday’s TSport 200 will go green shortly after 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
