The restricted free agent defenceman has agreed to a one-year deal with the defending champions, Carolina announced on Thursday.
Seeley’s new deal is worth $850,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 in the AHL, with $160,000 guaranteed for the 2026-27 season.
The 23-year-old made his NHL debut during the 2025-26 campaign, making one regular-season appearance. While he went point-less, Seeley logged 15:12 of time on ice and two blocks.
Seeley has spent most of his pro career, since being drafted 208th overall in 2020, with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves — posting 11 goals and 12 assists through 69 games as an alternate captain. He also chipped in a goal and an assist in 21 playoff appearances and a trip to the Calder Cup Final.
The Yellowknife native has also represented Canada, winning gold at the 2022 world junior championship.
