A Winnipeg man is facing multiple charges after police say social media posts showing him posing with firearms led to an investigation and search warrant in the Fort Richmond neighbourhood.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit began investigating in early July after receiving a report about an individual posting photos of himself with what appeared to be firearms.
Further investigation identified a suspect and found he had four outstanding warrants.
On July 20, police arrested the suspect in the Fort Richmond area and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1–99 block of Killarney Avenue.

Police say officers seized several items from the home, including two pieces of body armour, an imitation Sig Sauer handgun, a handmade knife, two canisters of bear spray, and approximately 0.92 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $50.
Twenty-four-year-old Treyven Robert Clearsky has been charged with multiple offences, including four counts of possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, four counts of failing to comply with a release order, four counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and possession of methamphetamine.
Clearsky is also facing two counts of possessing body armour without a valid permit or in a manner inconsistent with a valid permit.
Police say he was also arrested on outstanding warrants related to robbery, mischief under $5,000, and additional failures to comply with court orders.
Clearsky was detained in custody.
