Swedish ventilation manufacturer Systemair has acquired Temspec Incorporated, a Mississauga-based designer and manufacturer of decentralised HVAC equipment, effective July 23, 2026.

Temspec, which has been operating since 1971, specialises in HVAC solutions for multi-storey buildings and schools, with a focus on energy efficiency and noise reduction. The company employs approximately 90 people and posted revenues of around CAD $29 million in its most recent fiscal year.

For Canadian HVAC contractors, Temspec is a familiar name—particularly those working in the education and multi-residential sectors. The acquisition brings Temspec into Systemair’s North American operation, which now employs roughly 645 people across the continent. Systemair’s CEO flagged the school ventilation market specifically, describing the combined entity as the undisputed leader in that segment.
