Jason Greenslade had two impressive wins in the men’s bowls singles while women’s pair Alison Merrien and Rose Ogier beat Australia on Friday.
Merrien and Ogier made it two wins from two as they overcame Dawn Hayman and Kelsey Cottrell in their pool game.
The islanders crushed their opponents 10-1 in the opening set before a 5-2 win in the second.
They will face Zambia on Saturday morning as they look to preserve their perfect start to the event.
Meanwhile, Greenslade – who narrowly lost to Australia’s Aaron Wilson on Thursday – dropped just four shots in his 2-0 win over Botswana’s Diza Mphotho in his opening game of the day.
He came back from 3-0 down to win the first set 10-3 before blitzing the second 16-1.
Greenslade went on to beat Namibia’s Waylon Wentzel 2-0 later on Friday.
The former World Indoor champion was never behind in the game as he took the first set 7-3 before winning the second 11-2 to put him in a strong position in his pool.
He will face Cook Islands’ Royden Aperau on Saturday evening in the fourth of his six pool matches.
“I really, really feel settled in now, and I certainly feel at home on the green,” Greenslade told BBC Guernsey.
“It does normally take a couple of days to settle in, but certainly after a loss yesterday I knew I had to come out strong and earn two wins, and I am quite pleased.
“I certainly upped my game and I played well.”
