As Canada’s fastest DH racers settle in for a big weekend of championship racing at Sun Peaks , Cycling Canada is revealing where the fight for maple leafs will take place next year. The mostly full calendar of 2027 Canadian championship venues landed on Friday for all disciplines.
For mountain bikers, that list includes some return venues and some classic locations in a new format.
The big change comes for the cross country racers. After two years on Vancouver Island, they’ll head to the hallowed hills of Mont-Sainte-Anne, Que for 2027 XCO and XCC national championships. After three decades as a World Cup venue, MSA will now test the skills and fitness of Canada’s best. Those races takes place July 15-18, 2027.
For marathon mountain bike championships (XCM), Sault Ste. Marie will get a second swing at crowning Canada’s fastest. XCM nationals are lined up to take place early in September, 2026. Marathon nationals will return on Sept. 11 in 2027.
For downhill national championships, a familiar venue is back again. Just like this weekend, Sun Peaks and Dunbar Summer Series will team up for 2027 downhill national championships. The venue’s hosted DH nationals several times over the last few years and will again next year. That race takes place July 17-18 in 2027.
Enduro national championships ahve a date, but no location is being revealed at this time. But riders can pencil in Sept. 18-19 to be.. .somewhere … next year if htey want to battle for tahat maple leaf jersey.
As for road, BMX, cyclocross, gravel and track dates? They’re all revealed now, too.
